i am looking for a good how to replace 1/4 panels write up with pictures... i have never done a 1/4 replacement that wasn't a full factory pannel. (i did quarters on a Scout II) i did search, but came up with nothing. i read the article in the tech reference section which is helpful, but i would like to see some pictures of the cutting/mounting/welding.

even just pictures would help. i can get the jist of what was done by looking at the pics.
i will be doing 1/4's on my 64 chevelle ss.

thanks again,
pat stanley

When we first started using the glue for 1/4's they had videos to show you how to use it,basically the same prep work.About the welding you might check with ASE, where techs get certified.Talk to your local paint company or even a bodyshop near you.Gotta be some how to books out there somewhere as bodymen aint to smart that's why the factory always marks R and L on all the parts!!!

a regular poster on this site, 70isfine, has excellent photos on how he does 80% quarter panels. Search for a post called "martinsr, need some advice" in this section, or search "quarter" and you should find a link to his photos, or email him. I followed his photos and just installed my first quarter, looks real nice. Also go to "JCSmithy" resto site for all his photos on a resto, some great ones. Search "JCSmithy" on this site or in Google to find them.
