Hey guys, i have a 70 chevelle that is finally ready for paint. It already has a good coat of primer on it but it hasn't been blocked yet. I want to paint it Cortez Silver with black SS stripes. I was wondering if you guys knew in what ball park something like this would cost. And is there any work that i would be able to do myself that would help out with the cost? I am looking for a paint job for a daily driver so nothing to extravagant or show quality, just something nice. Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When you say "good coat of primer" what do you mean? Has it been stripped and then been epoxt primed? What kind of primer was used and how long ago was it primed? These are all questions the guys who paint your car are gonna ask.

My buddy got his car stripped, primed, sealed and bc/cc for about $3k. If that's out of your range then look at blocking and painting yourself. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif

Miracle or Earl Schiebs could do the trick if the primer is ok too.
