Got one of the fenders off that Camino and looked inside the fender. Has 30 years of junk/rust on the back side of it. Some minor rust spots that will be sanded down and cleaned up. Now I need to decide what paint needs to go on. I have the following to choose from:

1. Rust Ecapslator

2. Etch Primer followed with Dp90lf- (seems like overkill, but would protect best)

3. Dp90lf after cleaning with MetalReady.

I'd personally go with the Etch then DP...

DX-1791 followed up by the DP90LF....

Small world ain't it. My ride is buried in the Garage.. You won't see it on the street anytime soon :)

Guess I'll be doing the etch with DP. Seems like the smart thing to do. Thanks for the reassurance.

I'm restoring a 69 and wondering what is the correct color? Also, what color is the DP90LF?

Thanks!

90 is black, depending on how wet it's sprayed, it can range from almost flat to semi-gloss... Check Out rubadub's chassis he used the dp90lf as a final coat on... Nice...http://webpages.charter.net/2manitowoc
