I have just started using Verizon and cannot send email using Eudora 3.6. Have checked with Verizon but no help. Checking email works OK. Any suggestions please. Jon

Your email software needs to know the name of Verizon's server for sending mail. It will be different from the server for receiving mail. Both servers need to be set up in your software. Usually, the server for receiving mail will be POP server. You obviously have that one working. The server for sending mail will usually be an SMTP server. Check with Verizon if you don't have the name listed in the information from them. Also, you can use Verizon's SMTP server only when you are connected to the Internet through there ISP. From any other ISP, sending will fail if you try to use Verizon's server.
