I am replacing the bench seat in my 67 Malibu with buckets, and was wondering..........I'm pretty sure you could have ordered bucket seats in a Malibu, but would it still come with the chrome bezel around the 4 sp shifter? This chrome bezel is usually refered to as coming in 67 bench seats with 4 sp. Could you get a console in a Malibu. I bought this Malibu in 12/66 - new- but don't remember the options available.

the answer is yes, buckets without a console was available, the chrome shifter bezel is still attached to the floor, as my 67 is factory equipped this way, the difference is the shifter, and the hump are different. good luck. jason.

Yes you could also have a console with bucket seats just like the SS.
