I am using everglass over some area's that I welded the pannel is in epoxy now so should I scuff it with a red pad and apply a thin layer like I do with the filler? Or do I need to take the area back to bare metal?

You can put any polyester filler over epoxy, I do it all the time. I do all of my patchwork and bumping then apply 2-3 coats of epoxy and filler work over that. There will be cut throughs but it all gets epoxied again before moving to the sandable primer. I've had great success doing the work this way, never any mysterious bubbles or adhesion problems. Earlier this spring I looked at a Chevy II that I did for my Brother in-law back in the late eighties with epoxy as a ground coat and the car still looks perfect. It was one of the first jobs I did this way. The car is very neglected and has sat in a flooded garage every spring since it was done, the moisture it has been exposed to is extreme IMO but the bodywork has held up flawlessly. It took a trophy at the first show out this summer. The car deserves a better owner.

Not to seal this thread but I need some advise on how to body work from start to finish. There will be lots cutting and welding. My question is how to prevent rust after sodablasting and still be able to work on the body. I used some "killer yellow" but got sick from the fumes. I could change the ventilation system or should I use a different primer? Thanks Bob Mark
