I am 2gen Camaro guy but enjoy lurking here too.

Anyway, here is an interesting thread on the 2gen board about the correct paint for what we call "Z28 five spoke" wheels. I am pretty sure the same wheels were found on early '70s Chevelles. On '70 - '74 Z28s the wheels left the factory painted a sort of dark grey which is hard to duplicate exactly. Looks like someone may be solving the problem:

Those "Z/28" 5-spoke wheels became available on 71 Chevelles. I LOVE those wheels-------------------except for one thing. They are only 7in wide. Thus, on our Chevelles (68, 70, 71) we use the 8in Corvette Ralleys. these wheels give a Chevelle a much more aggressive stance because of their wider track. An 8in vs a 7in Ralley COMPLETELY changes the look of the car.
