If I was a betting man I would say in the 20,000.00 range if not a little more. Titanium rods and dry sump oil systems don't come on cheap motors.

$65,800 and you can keep or discard the "crate".

Even the $20,000 is way to high then I would go, but I wouldn't go with a "small" block anyway;)

LOLOLOL "Sure it was an expensive engine, you shoulda seen the crate it came in. All painted shiny and had it's own wheels. But it came with a free CD player" :D

Those guys on the loading-dock are sure enthusiastic about their jobs! They all took turns moving the crate from one end of the lot to the other, and everyone was smiling. It must have been a job-training day, because they were seeing who could move the crate the fastest. :D

I'm sure you'll be able to get them somewhat cheap from junkyards soon enough, my hunch is ~$10-12K for a drivetrain out of a wreck. With the price of the new Z06, a lot of people will be buying them, many of which who have no idea how to handle them. I expect a rather high number to promptly find their way into trees, telephone poles, and ditches.

That's when you swoop in and buy what's left over.
