I'm in the process of "touching up" some of my '69 SS Chevelle's under-hood Stuff.

I need to re-paint my Radiator Top Panel and touch up my Radiator Core Support while I've got everything out [new data stickers, etc]

What color are each of these items supposed to be. In my "Chevelle Restoration Guide" it calls out "Gloss Black" for the Top Panel and doesn't mention the Core Support at all. I've seen a lot of Top Panels at shows and there is quite a bit of different blacks out there.....also quite a few in various books' pictures as well.

How glossy is Gloss Black? What else under the car should be this color [for comparison]? I've got Eastwood's "Under Hood Black" is this one about right? I don't have access to a gun...got to find it in a can.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Mike O'Halloran

I always paint the rad cover a touch glossier than the support, its not gloss black yet though. Not nearly like a air cleaner.
