Hey fellas...back again...
First question, one member had a link to his website where he had information about his frame and there he mentined the dimension "between" the upper control arm shafts, to check for frame sag. Do you measure this from the face of the frame where the C/A shaft bolts come through to the other face? And, if so, what should it be for a '66 Convertible. Right now mine is 31" on the money.
Second queston, I started shopping around for a price to replace my sheetmetal, including, rear quarters, outer wheelhouses, rear tail panel, and trunk floor. First quote I got was from Conti Customs here in Mt. Clemens, MI at around the $2500- $3000 range. I requested that they only do the work necessary up to and including the first coat of epoxy primer. Sounds like a pretty good ballpark number....what do you guys think, and does anyone have the numbers for what their's cost? Or know of another shop in the area? I have called Reiter's Metal Works, they are busy, outrageous and want to do the whole car, start to finish..and I understand that for their quality control.
These prices did not include the sheetmetal, labor only. :D
Take care and enjoy the rest of the summer.. graemlins/beers.gif
