Has anyone paid to have a headliner replaced lately? I'm trying to get an idea of the cost to replace a bow type headliner on a Chevelle.
Thanks,
Rich

I think I paid $90 to have my PUI headliner installed for my 70 Malibu.

rich, i just bought the stage two interior kit the headliner was included.the lady that will put it in said she charges 250.00 for the headliner install and 125.00 per seat labor only.sounds pricey but she does awesome work and the other shops around here aren't that far off with the price. gary

Gary,
That sound steep to me. I had both my 69 buckets redone. New burlap, foam, skins. I supplied the foam and skins. For $100. Guys been in business for 25 years and does custom hotrod interiors. They turned out great.

Amazing how prices are so different in other parts of the country! I paid, in 1997, $240.00 to have my headliner replaced. They supplied everything and did the sunvisors also.

I just had my driver's side bucket redone in October. I supplied the PUI cover and buns and they replaced the springs, installed "helper coils" around the outer perimeter, and supplied a new back frame (mine was broken in a number of places....time to lose some weight!). The charge was $290.00. This is a place that specializes in custom and classic car interiors.

Most places around here get from $150 to $200 to install one. Labor only.

Thanks for the responses. Prices for auto trim work do seem to vary wildly from place to place and even shop to shop.

Hey RT, I'm just across the river and I need to get mine done too. Let me know what you come up with and where. I'll do the same but I won't be ready for a few months.
