Seems like any one that I have installed before, there was a problem with the o-ring seal and it always seems to leak! I need one for a 1970 SS 454/T-400, and NONE of the aftermarket or repro ones I've bought have fit. It needs to have sharp bends to clear the firewall. My local Chevy dealer can only look up stuff from 1983 or later, I am losing hope. No good old stuff in junkyards, and nothing I've tried will fit. Wishing I had a GM Part Number... OLDED Jan 17th, 11, 9:00 PM I install 2 O-rings on the tube - 1 at the bottom end and 1 half way up to the ridge - spray the trans hole out good with brake cleaner, daub a little silicone over the entire tube end and stab it in and snug it down, That is as close to no leaks as you can get. My trans came out of a 1/2 ton P/U and all I had at the time was the longer original tube - was going to change it later, but I kinda like it up there where I can get to it now.
