does evercoat still make the "metal-to-metal" filler? i need to fill the factory body seem at the top of my rear quarter panel(towards the roof-line) where the factory usually leads it.after removing my vinyl top i noticed someone has filled the seem with bondo which is coming loose.i read where metal-to-metal will not come loose like other fillers.

if your car came with a vinyl top it was half arsed from the factory at the quarter seams.the factory did not put no effort in the roof if its gonna be covered up with vinyl, thats where alotta metal problems came in using vinyl tops. i used metal to metal got it from my paint supplier. are you gonna put the vinal back on? i hope so JMHO it gives the chevells the final touch.

thanks guys.i'm gonna try to leave the vinyl off and go with the hardtop.its a 1973 chevelle so i think it might look better without the vinyl.i'll know pretty quick whether i have enough skill to make it look good.its black!if i lack the ability to make it passable i can always put vinyl back over it.knowing how i am i'll probably stick with it until i get it right.thanks again.

Just my opinion here but I think you'd be better off with Everglass or Duraglass. They are alot stronger product than metal to metal and offer better moisture protection. I've seen metal to metal fail where Everglass did not through my own testing over the years. Nobody in my area uses the stuff anymore, sure looks nice being silver though. Bob

badbob71,i'll definitely take your advice under considerstion.i have some Dyna-Glass short-strand fiberglass filler.its waterproof, and is for metal/smc/fiberglass repair.my car will never be stored outside or exposed to rain, reckon i can get by with this? i bought it from an auto paint dealer upon their advice.
