The best way is with a wiper removing tool. I have never owned one, though it wouldn't be a bad idea. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif I have done it for years by putting a piece of plastic or wood on the cowl and prying out the little tab that goes under the end of the wiper shaft. With a med sized screw driver you can do this at the same time prying up on the wiper till it starts to slide off.

I do this without any damage to the body or wiper, but it is a bit of a pain.

I hope to find another way when others post thier ideas. I am thinking it is time I get the right tool. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

Ive had great success using adjustable pliers. Just wrap the jaws with duct tape to protect the wiper arms. Grab on the base with the pliers and at the same time pull on that tab. It lifts right off, Ive yet to leave a mark on the arms...Eric
