Maybe yours was a special order? Or perhaps it's in the chart under another name. GM is good about this. Check the different names for a code 67 bronze for the 70 to 72 model years. You need the two digit code.

My 70 was originally black cherry, maybe someday I will put it back. I didnt really care for the color when I first got the car.

What paint chart are you referring to?
mine list it as code 78.
the Ditzler number was 50700
Rinshed-Mason was A-2107M
and DuPont was 5063LH

Was refering to the paint chart on this site. My info pack from GM of Canada arrived the other day and it said it was Black Cherry Metalic #78 when it left the factory. The chart shows marroon metalic for #78.

Black Cherry, Code 78, was standard in 1970. The chart on this site is a General Motors chart. All of the names are sort of generic.
Notice even one of the most popular colors, Cranberry Red, code 75, is listed on the chart as simply 'Red'.

You can access the chart on the home page. I was using code 67 as an example.
