i am ready to start applying the polyester finishing putty to the surface of the repaired areas(fiberglass filler) to fill in small imperfections such as a few pin-holes and scratches.the instructions on the putty say it will stick to aged primer.how much drying time for primer is considered aged? will 36 hours be enough time? thanks.

36 hrs is all dependant on HOW you applied the primer. In order for your primer to cure properly you need to have had meet all the following.
1 proper gun setup
2 proper reducer selected for current temps
3 the temp of the room that the panel is in, if it drops below 55 that primer wont crosslink or cure. Should try to maintain 65 degrees for at least a few hours
4 Do you apply several med coats or did you hog it on
If you did any of following wrong then the primer hasnt fully cured like it should have. And appling that putty will cause problems, like falling off
But anyway YES 36 hrs will be good for appling that poly, just keep in mind its meant to correct MINOR imperctions NOT to be used as a regular filler. Scuff up that primer with 80 grit then apply the poly putty as smooth and level as possible DONT lump it on thinking you'll sand it down, wont happen, nice and smooth.
