(Yeah, this is dumb but I know nothing about that type of racing)
Do all NASCAR cars use 4 speed manuals? Is it an actual clutch/shift type or clutchless like F1
Thanks

I don't know for sure about the true NASCAR cars, Kurt but I'm assuming they are the same.
The Petty Driving Experience cars are all 4 speed cars with a clutch (standard position pedal).

On road courses (and possibly at Pocono, where they used to shift before the gear rule) they use a transmission called a Jerico, that can be used clutch-less except when accelerating from a stop. Nothing like F1 though. It appears Jerico's website is down right now.

You mean they don't all have Powerglides?

only 1 NASCAR race has ever been won with an Automatic transmission...sometime in the early 60s, can't remember who, what, where, and when though :clonk:
