I just got the chevelle running with the muncie! I got the clutch adjusted cleanly, no problems shifting it at all. 1" of free play in the pedal, then it gets quite tough. No problems releasing the clutch at all or shifting the gears.

Right after we got it drivable, I drove it proably about 2-3 miles around the neighboorhood. I pulled back into the driveway and it smelt like an ass an' a half! Is this normal for a brand new clutch. Its a CF DF.

I don't think so, a clutch slipping or burnng has a funny smell, your graphic description is not one I'm familiar with.

one of my friends said it smelt like gear oil. He thought it was just oils/greases on the exhuast from just working on the car for so long burning off.

I drove it to work today, no smell. Guess it was just some grease on the exhuast or something.
