anyone know where to pick up these plastic clips that hold the molding (2 pieces) that go between the tail lights under the trunk on a 69? Im not talking about the speed nut clips but the plastic pieces that just snap in to hold the molding tight against the panel. I cant find them in my opg or ground up catalog.

I know just what you're talking about. They are not reproduced. Used ones are all you can find - if you can find them at all. I had to use the spring wire clips with a nut & washer on my previous 69 to hold the moldings on.

thanks bill, I thought about the spring clips also and will probably go that route. the original plastic clips have a little rubber o ring seal that keeps water out of the trunk. guess I could use a little buytl tape around the studs to seal.

Yes, I used 3M Strip Sealer around the studs on my car. Probably a number of different products that would be effective at keeping water out of the trunk. Good luck!
