I have a 68 SS which I converted to rear wheel discs... The process was easy enough and things seemed to go well....I then put TTII's on it and drove away.....A friend was behind me the other day and then told me my left rear wheel seems to have a wobble. I don't feel it in the car, but I put the rear on jacks, put it in gear and low and behold left and right wobble slightly....Left seems worse than right....Balance? Conversion? Any ideas? I'm inclined to pull the calipers and rotors, remount the rims right on the axle to see if its the rotor seating or not....The whole car is basically new, so troubleshooting is an ongoing process. Kit is CPP from OPGI...Thanks...

Could be the axle is bent.

I'd be surprised as the entire rear end and axles are brand new....Eaton posi, 3.73 gears and new Superior brand axles...haven't really done anything with the car yet except a burnout or 2 near my house...

Make sure the rotor and wheel is seated on the hub properly. Did you change the wheel studs at the same time? Sounds like maybe something binded up when you bolted on the wheels, and they aren't seated on the hub right.

Pull the wheel off and put the car in neutral on the jackstands so you can turn the axle by hand, then you can try and determine if it's the axle/hub itself, or the rotor, that is crooked. If not, I'd bet it was just a matter of not having the wheels installed quite right.

I'll give that a shot over the weekend...I have been at work for the last 4 days in Northern Cal and I go home tomorrow...Finding stuff out like this is a pain after a year of restoration work...but it's all a process....

Also, make sure the rear lug nuts are torqued to the same value.

Switch the tires side-to-side, then you'll know if it's a bent wheel or something wrong with the axle.

Okay all....
Thanks much for your input...as it turns out, the rotors were barely catching on a lip on the axle flange, hence they were not seating all the way flush....it was only off by about 1/8", but certainly enuff to create the problem. Thank god my neighbor noticed it before something really bad happened...anyway, a little dremel work on the inside of the rotor to enlarge the hole and alas, things are now kewl...no wobble! Thanks again and happy motoring....
