I have a 68 that i need to replace the detent on the front doors. Do you have to remove the doors first? Looks like they have to be pounded out from the bottom to get them out. Whats the best way? Thanks.

I just rebuilt the hinges on my 67, and I did it off the car. It will be much easier for you. The new repair kits call for you to grind off the head of the old detent and toss it. You then drill and tap the hinge stud. The new roller fits on an allen head bolt, and is screwed into the hinge.
