Our 68 Malibu Convertible has a motor to raise the Convertible top. I recently replaced the hydraulic lifts, I also replaced O rings on the Motor. But when I put the motor back in place the motor is not pumping the fluid to the hyraulics. there are 5 bolts which hold the back plate on, when you remove the bolts and take off that part two ball bearings are in the valve holes. In the center is a sprocket which the impeller slides onto. (I hope this makes sense so far.) I have a feeling that the the spindle which is on the motor and the sprocket shaped piece have a set position......... does anyone know what that should be?? I have no Motor assembly drawing or exploded view to refer to.

I've been told the impeller makes the fluid push through the lines to the hydraulics.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
