I just pulled the stock intake off my 454 and tossed on a Victor Jr manifold on it. On the head there are passages around the exhaust cross over that's not covered by the intake. Will this get covered by the gaskets? Or will this manifold not work. The heads are '74 "781" heads.

I know the manifold is wrong for the motor, but I have it and wanted to try it. I want to save up for a mini-blower so I don't want to buy a new manifold if I don't have to.

I will cut a small piece of SS shim stock and insert between the manifold gasket and the exhuast port area to seal off the exhaust port completely prior to intake install.
