I've been lurking around here for awhile (I followed some of my Camaro brothers over here) liked it and joined. Great site, my first real hot rod was a 65 SS Chevelle and I still kick myself in the a** for selling that car to buy a boat when I was young and dumb . She was dark blue with a 327 and a 4 speed with Cragar wheels and I beat the ***** outta that Chevelle (a 18 yr old kid with a 4 speed !) and it never let me down and when it did need work (breakdown) it was always on my dad's driveway. I still look for that car in hopes of getting it back ( I found it 20 years ago but didn't have the money to buy it and she slipped away but that's another story) so if any of you guys come across a dark blue beat up 65 SS with CA black plate RVY 862 that's my baby . Thanks Rich

Thanks for the welcome guys ! right now I have too many things going but here's what I have . Camaro, I pulled home a basket case 20 years ago and everybody thought I lost my mind I guess beauty was in the eye of the beholder, she is now the stock color Cortez Silver with the same running gear that Van Nuys put in her when she rolled off the Los Angeles line with a nice set of Cragar wheels I should drive it more but she's covered up in the garage it took 3 years to restore it and I did everything on it bodywork, driveline and paint and interior. Next project is my 73 V8 Vega that I'm on the home strech with, it'll be a drag bracket car with a 355 small block and a turbo 350 trans ,8 point roll cage, 12 bolt rearend with a posi. This as been a very tough job because you have to hand fit a lot of parts to do it right and now I'm converting over to Malibu (1980) front disc brakes with 5 lug on the front on her. Next up I bought a 65 SS Nova (too good a price to pass up), a bone stock car with a six cylinder and powerglide trans with black interior with buckets seats the body is good and all the parts and glass are there but I'm not sure what I'll do with her 6 or V8 . My everyday beater is a 1976 GMC 2500 truck (thank you Arnold I had one more year till smog free AND YOU PULLED THE PLUG AT 1975 !!) she has a 454 and a turbo 400 trans she'll pull the trailer that I bought off one of your board members Pat Kelly . The rest of the fleet is a 1964 Ford Ranchero V8 4 speed bucket seat car I restored from the junk pile that I found in a alley, she is painted Chevy Orange with Cragar wheels. Then there's my wife's 1986 Chevy pick up (short bed), my oldest son's (college kid) 84 Toyota pick up and my youngest son's 1986 Toyota Celica (another college kid, put a head gasket on this with a dual overhead cams what a nightmare never again) plus all the cars of my sons friends that need help on (good kids going too college and broke but trying) maybe I should have took up gardening instead of cars. Thanks Rich
