Does anybody have any experience with coating the entire exhaust system. I just bought a complete system for my chevelle which I think is aluminized (bought it form OPG). I saw something from eastwood that has a high temp coating, but I'd like to rust proof it as much as I can?
Would exhaust manifold coating work?
Thanks

I have had aluminized coated exhaust system on my 70SS for over ten years now and it looks very good. Only slight discolorization 6 inches from headers. Clean it up with laquer thinner and it shines like new.
I don't think any brush on product from EASTWOOD or POR would make it look any better or last any longer. About the only improvement you could make over aluminized would be ceramic coating and that would be $$.
Something that people forget is available high tempurature clear. It is really handy if you want to preserve the original appearance of something and protect it at the same time.
