Both have oval rear bushings, what is the deal with the holes in the spring area. the two holes, you line the spring up in the middle of them right, and the other has a long hole, where does the spring line up here?

AFAIK, those are just drain holes at the lowest part of the spring pocket so water doesn't collect in there.

I've never seen one with a slot. It looks to me like it was not factory like that. I would treat it like it was the same as the one with 2 holes, only they were connected by someone.
