My 99 s-10 ac did blow ice cold until recently, now just cool. Everything seems to work fine such as the compressor. I was wondering if the Walmart recharge kits are worth the money?

You could go that route, Probably would be a good idea to have someone with the proper tools and knowledge check it out.

At the very least, you need to hook some guages to it and check the pressures. I had one this past week that did the same thing. It turned out that the desiccant bag had ruptured inside the dryer and plugged the expansion valve.

The pressure is low. Less than 25.

Before you use one of the "death kits", also ask your questions here: http://www.autoacforum.com/
Very knowledgeable and nice guys who do this for a living.

Nope, won't be using one of those kits. I now can't believe they even sell them.
