Is anyone with this company who would shares their opinions on why they like it/don't like it? I got some quotes today and they are cheaper than who I'm currently with...American Family. I've heard good things about both. I was told by the Farmers agent that they not only go by your driving record but also your credit score, mine, of which, is pretty good. I guess they've come to the conclusion that better credit scores, for the most part, equal better drivers (somehow).

Use to have it with them.Have it all of it on Germania now.Been several years,and you don't live in Harris county.Should be better in your area.To much tap dance on there rate changes even if never had to use.

I'm currently looking to switch FROM Farmers due to the rates they're charging! I've got 4 cars on the policy (97 Olds Aurora, 93 Bonneville, 90 Jeep Cherokee, 88 Firebird), 3 drivers: Myself-clean record, Wife-clean record, Daughter-19, 1 ticket. They're hitting me for over $350/month!! I switched from Allstate several years ago when Allstate more than doubled my homeowners insurance costs, and Farmers had the home ins near what I was paying with Allstate. Now I'm shopping again, and very disgusted! I haven't had any claims since 1990, so I'd think I'd be a less expensive customer! :mad:

I love their recent ads where they say that they are coming back into the Texas market and that's good for consumers. When the going got tough here and they started losing money, they took off. Now that their analysts have determined Texas would be enormously profitable for them again, here they come back to take our money. Screw them!

I had them and every single bill i got the premium creeped up and up. Over the course of a year and a half it had inched up over three hundred dollars and i never had a claim or ticket in that time. I switched to another company and saved nine hundred a year.
