I have been driving this fresh rebuild for two years now,
I probably went over board with most of it but I am not a proffesional at this,
66 chevelle malibu coupe
large journal 69 327
all machined 30 over
cam 480 lift, fast idle pretty lopy
heads were super small chambered with big 202 valves
one side roller rockers
speed pro kit hyper pistions flat
rpm air gap manifold
headers not sure what diameter, long tube 2 1\4 pipes, cheapo mufflers
distributer beefed a little with light springs heavy weights, manifold vac adv
timing I think i set to 8 initial if I go any more it starts harder
35oo stall, th 350, 3.73 gears, posi
mechanical fuel pump after market, should be good

600 edlebrock the question is I have a dead spot when I open the fours it doestn matter if im stopped and floor it or if im doing 40 and floor it, it will just drop on its face and I usually just wait a few seconds then its takes of like a rocket. but I dont like that hestitation, it drives great,i just tape the gas and it nuts, but I want more with no hesitation, I have moved the accelerater pump both ways and neither helps but it seemed little better with it in lower postion, bigger pump shot, not really though, I have tried bigger diamer squeters, little better but still there I didnt try smaller yet. My buddy said my carb may be to big, to much air he said? ok oh yea when stand 5 to 10 feet away from my tale pipes I can feel the air just pounding out my exhoust.
