I have a 71 chevelle. I've purchased a complete set of rubber bumpers for the hood and trunk. However the bumpers did not come with a guide to orient them. The previous owner removed all of the bumpers so I am at a loss as to exactly were some of them go.
There are 4 rectangular bumpers that go under the hood. Each is approximately 1 1/2 x 1/2 inches. The set to put them into the body is positioned to one end. Do I install them so they are sitting high on the fender or turn them around so they are sitting lower?
It appears that two round rubber caps go over the adjusting bolts in the front of the hood. Is this right? Are there any other bumpers that go under the hood?
It appears that two round bumpers appear to go in the trunk lid, is this right?
There are also 2 needle shaped ruber bumpers. Does anyone know where these go?
Thanks
