I was looking through gm site and came across rear sway bar for 66 bucks it's 7/8 bar can you feel any difference driving the car with these on it? I know I need to get the inserts for the lower control arms and mounting bolts anything else? cars gonna have 255 60 15 rears and 215 65 or so 14" fronts ( wheels are already on it, gas shocks factory springs, not lowered actually the big block lowered the front a little, I was just wondering if it's worth installing for a driver, thanks Jim

I am not any expert but usually you want your rear sway bar smaller than your front sway bar. Measure your front sway bar and compare.

Personally on my 1970, I took off the front bar that was 7/8 or 15/16s and replaced it with a 1 1/8 bar and I boxed the arms in the back and i will be using a 1" bar in back. (yet to be driven)

If i would do it all over again I would use a 1 - 1 1/8 bar in front with the 7/8 GM bar you found. ( I wouldn't use 1 1/4 because it is too big and people have fitment problems)

To answer your question, you need to ask yourself how do you like the body roll around corners. If you want it to stay more level you might want to get larger sway bars. Or another good idea is get stiffer springs so there isn't as much stress on the sway bars and endlinks.

I took it a step further and installed Hotchkis ft/rr bars. The difference was tremendous. The car was more responsive and infinitely less roll. If you dont want to spend the $350, use a 1 1/4 front and poly endlink bushings and 1" rear with good shocks on all 4 corners and you wont be able to wipe the smile off your face everytime you take a turn.
