I installed power brakes on my 65 Chevelle, 230, Powerglide. Used a brand new booster from Danchuk and the original master cylinder. All brakes rebuilt, drums good and no fluid leaks on the shoes. Problem is now the brakes are suuuuper touchy, and puts you through the windshield under moderate braking. I'm pulling vacuum directly off the intiake. I've moved the pedal shaft to the position that puts the pedal as close to the floor as possible but still feels uncomfortable. To me it seemd I have too much boost. Could I restrict vacuum or find a different source? Any advice appreciated.

Power drum brakes can take a little getting used to.Almost everyone I ever lent my 68 Catalina to almost put" themselves through the windshield" also.Double check your front brake adjustment just to be sure.
