: push pin holes roofrail weatherstrip

In mounting the Soffseal roofrail weatherstrip on a 66 Chevelle hardtop, I noticed that the 2 lower plastic push pins (in front of the door, at the bottom of the pillar) are closer to eachother than the original (and thus the holes in the body) are. The difference is about 3/4 inch.

Has anyone had the same experience? Should I stretch the w/s or drill a new hole ?

Thanks

Rob

When I did my 67 w/ Softseal stuff it fit. Something must be wrong here. Are you sure your starting with the right end? I would punch a new hole in the W/S rather then drill the car if it comes to that.

I just did this on my 66 last weekend and ran into the same thing. They were not a perfect fit in this respect. I stretched it to make it fit.

67shovel. The w/s is too short, so punching the rubber is no option.

Lance. I am glad, I am not the only one.

Thanks again.
