Hey guys, have a question for the group. Has anyone made a functioning cowl induction hood from one of the aftermarket hoods that does not have the hole for the door? Was thinking of getting one for my 68 and thought it would be cool looking to have a functioning unit on it. If so, do you pictures of the process? The fabrication shouldn't be too hard to do but some pix's of the set-up would be helpful and maybe some measurements would help also. My 68 is going into the body shop soon so I thought now would be a good time to tackle this project be fore they start on the sheetmetal replacement.
If no one has done this, maybe someone with a cowl hood could post some close-up pix of their set-up to get an idea on what is needed to do this.
Thanks guys, you always have some great ideas here and I use this as my #1 source for my ongoing project.

The Goodmark 68-69 2" cowl hood is functional. It has a screened opening against at the rear cowl area. If you want to convert it to a fully functional cowl hood with the diapragm actuated flapper, it will require a donor hood for parts, unless you can buy all the parts aftermarket - seems to me that this would be rather expensive though.
