I'm planning on removing, restoring and replacing front and rear glass. Are the clips the same for front and rear? Does anyone know how many clips are neede for front and rear. I'm replacing the front windshield because I am an ASS and cracked it while removing molding.
Thanks

I've seen them sold as if they were different animals, but they look the same to me. I happen to have two different sizes on my rear window. I assume that whoever did the work before, merely used what was available. Go to this site and look them up. http://www.mrgusa.com/fasindex.htm

In 71-72 there are two different ones. Some cars use the same ones, front and rear, others have different ones front and rear.
I buy mine from Au-Ve-Co. I've emailed them pictures of clips and they provide the part number (in the catalog it's hard to distinguish between a few). They also sell the screw in stud replacements if you've lost a couple due to rust.
You'll need 20-25 per window.
