I ordered a remote oil filter set-up for my BBC from my parts guy the other day. I have a few questions.

I just use a normal filter, right?

Do I need to add any extra oil to my oil system because of the tubing, or is that really a negligible amount that runs through there? I am currently running a 5-qt setup.

Lastly, any recommendations on where to mount it? I have dynomax headers and a manual tranny set-up...I don't really care about crawling under the car to do it if need be, as much as I would have had to remove the header everytime so I would like to just be real easy access (obviously, or I wouldn't be doing this).

Mine took about an extra quart of oil if I remember correctly. I mounted it on the drivers side wheel well. Easy to change the filter and it should keep it relativly cool.
