A local guy has a Performer 2-0 intake that might be available cheap, but it is for EGR applications. Can I use this without EGR (i.e. buy some cover/plug for it and be fine) -- or does it not work that way?

Was thinking about just picking this up to have as a spare in case I decided to move away from our Torker 2-0 one day -- but wanted to double-check on the EGR stuff.

Thanks!

Yes, you can. I ran a stock GM aluminum intake with an EGR slot on my 400 sb. I just traced the outline and marked the bolt holes and a buddy made me a block off plate. I don't know if the plates are available but I would think they are.

They have a cover plate that fits nicely.

..are you sure its just missing the choke cover plate and its not an EGR intake?
The choke cover plate is on the pass. side of the intake
