Yes they are, but off to the side, not on the show field. There are lots of trees in the park too. I'm not even bringing my EZ up this year (because my daughter used it at a party, left it out when the thunderstorm came & it got wadded up :mad: ), we didn't use it last year.

Yes, as mentioned, they are allowed along the edge of the show field. Also, as mentioned, there are lots of trees, but if you don't get a place under a shade tree, then you may need your pop-up. I always take mine and have used it each year.

You guys are right, not allowed on the showfield. We DO, however, allow them to be erected near the tree line away from the showfield, and in another more open area closer to registration. If you ask any of the yellow-shirted Event Staff, they'll be able to direct you ot the rightr areas. Also, be sure to bring a means of anchoring the shelter in case a wind comes up while you're out checkin' the gorgeous Chevelles. Hate to see one of them things turn into a kite and ruin someone's paint. Worse yet... hate to see an irate Chevelle owner ruin someone's face if it should happen.

As for "real" tents, like the kind yo camp in, they and overnight camping in the park are not allowed. Park rules.

My pop-up has flanges on the bottom of each leg. These flanges have about a 1/2in hole in them. I went to a hardware store and bought "bridge" nails to anchor them to the ground. A bridge nail is over 12in long and makes an excellent stake for anchoring a pop-up.
