We've had the car many, many moons. We're on the 4th engine, a 383 with lots of those neato goodies like 6"rods, AFR heads, Sanderson cast headers, Hyd rollers, Edlbrk seq. E.F.I, billet crank, Currie 9", Flwmstrs, etc. It's a Ca car, built in northern Ca. and moved out here for work reasons. We keep it covered or in the garage. We're running Nitto 225 60 R 15s right now on a set of real tired 15x6 street stars and would like to change the wheels to 15x7 Torque Thrust D's. Does any one have the info on what the rest of the wheel #s should be? Like backspacing? We don't want to blow it on wheels that won't fit the holes. The holes are stock. By the way, the meats still look new, maybe 5K on 'em. Thanks for any help. Arch

Welcome aboard,Arch. Without even consulting the Tire & Wheel database,I can tell you that you have no backspacing options with the TT D wheels. Those are one-piece units and don't have the many backspacing options like the TT II lineup. If you want the dark centers, get the TT II Classics. With those, you can run at least an 8" wide rim with the appropriate spacing. Yes,they will probably cost more but doing it right always does.

Thanks Clint. Im surprised, but welcome the speedy reply. Ok, so I get 4 TTII Clasics in 15x8, dark centers. Will they handle the nitto meats I already have? And what backset do you advise ? Arch

Your 225/60's will fit on 15x8 rims,,a little small but they will work. You might check out the database in the Wheel & Tire forum for backspacing ideas but my guess would be somewhere around 4.75".

5" will work on the rear but wasn't sure about the front.
