With the Eldelbrock anti hop bar kit(#5213) there are 2 thick washer style bushings that replace the upper rubber bushings on the rear end housing. The car is a 69 ss.The sleeve on these bushings does not fit inside the opening on the top of the housing and i don't want to force them. Has anyone had this happen? Do they need to be pressed in or are there different sizes, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mine just have a small rubber spacer & a couple of thick washers(wich crush when you tighten them).. Kind of a cheezy set up but it works....

You should try lakewood nohop bars, they are a simpler design, not to mention alot cheeper. The hardest part of the installation for me was getting the two bushings out of the top. Drilling and installing the bolts at the bottom was tricky but nowhere near as bad as the bushings.

We have done a lot of testing rather than make one product and sell it as is and both of the above mentioned no-hop bars are too tall. The will work fine in some applications and occasionally not. It will hit a narrow tire too hard.
