OK Im stumped,, 70 car, lites off, turn signals work perfect, flash inside and outside in correct location,,, lights on,, turn signal flash outide correct location, BUT on the dash they flash backwards ??? gotta be something stupid, but I have gone brain dead,, any help ??

Sounds like you've lost your ground from the headlight switch / gauge cluster. On my 68 the metal bar that grounds the headlight switch wasn't properly grounded, and I had similar symptoms.
