Hello,

Was there something special about the gas tank and fuel lines on LS6 Chevelles?

Thanks, Joe.

Not that I know of unless they are referring to the California cars with the vapor recovery system. There are extra lines on the gas tank for that.

Just the larger size of the lines.I have seen both single and return line set ups.727 fuel pump single,768 dual with return line.I believe later LS6 cars had the dual lines.

260 is right again...sometime in February they changed from a single 3/8 line to a double line set, one 3/8 and one 1/4. However, L34/LS5 cars used twin lines right from the start, the difference in the early/late L34/LS5 is in the pump and line to the carb.(short vs. long pump)
