I have a 69 chevelle, yesterday I started having problems with my brakelights, first they would not turn off, so I changed the bulbs and check the fuses and everything seem to be ok, then last night my light went off totally and I was not getting no lights what so ever, I checked the bulbs again and everything seems to be ok, now I am not getting anything, it seems as if there is a contact failure, can you please help me with some suggestion on what I can do.

What happens when you push the brake light switch in and out with your fingers? You have to move the brake pedal out of the way to do this.
