Where does a kid get some front fenders and inner fenders for a 71 chevelle? Also I need to know if I could go all fiberglass for my front clip for a cheaper way of putting it all together and would it have good weight conversion? I've heard that its good to do that but i have a sbc and I didnt know if it would be a good idea to go fiberglass or go ahead and get metal. Some one help me please, help me please!

there are a number of suppliers for reproduction front fender for your car. I got mine from National Parts Group but Ground-up and Orginal parts group sell them. They run about 250 each. Inner fenders are also availble in plastic about 150 a pair or metal at a couple hundred a pair. I don't know much about fiberglass fenders, I suppose that they would be lighter, I know they are a little cheaper but I would worry about the durability. The repo fenders take a little tweeking to get them to line up and look good but it is not to bad.

Buy a fiberglass clip if you want your car to look like cheap and you feel like many extra hours working on it to get the fiberglass to fit right. Fiberglass fenders are not the way to go on a chevelle, none of them fit and need tons of work to get them to fit and make them straight. Pass on any fiberglass parts.

I bought a pair of goodmark fenders for my 70 and the fit was perfect no tweaking no welding the seams to get a good gap just put them on and adjusted. The goodmarks fit much better then the OEM fenders that I removed. I will tell you this there is more then one company out there making fenders for these cars. Ive had fenders from goodmark and ones from sherman. The ones from sherman were a joke, the fit was way off,the metal was light and they were wavy and just looked like they had been rode hard and put away wet. I would only buy ones that say goodmark on the box and come with a goodmark sticker.

Ive got a pair of goodmaks and so does one other member on there by the name of 70isfine. Both us do body work for living and had no problems with the goodmark fenders...Eric
