i"m putting the body back on the frame on a hardtop and bought the supplements for the big block. Where do they go? There is the (1 1/2" approx) hole in the frame up front where they fit but i don't see what help they can do there. Nothing rest on it. CLoser to the other front fronts is a smaller hole(about the size of the bolt on the left side but not on the right. I'm kinda of lost as where they go. Help!

In the front, where the frame turns, just under the cowl, there should be 2 large body bushing holes on each side. On small block cars the inner holes just had bushings with no bolts going to the frame. The BB cars had bolts on all 4 of the holes.

Are the bodies from a big block and small block the same? I just don't see what the second bushing closest to the middle of the car supports? or is it just there(because)

The body sits on it. I am not sure how else to discribe it.

this is very interesting. if you look on my web page here: http://members.aol.com/smartasreality/page5.html
there is a pic that shows the frame. now i know all frames are the same in that location but the only body that i know is different and uses those inner holes is convertibles. the towers are wider on convertibles, where as the coupe and elky and wagons have more narrower fire wall tower perches and they only are wide enough to cover the outer bushing holes. this is new to me. am I missing something?

whats the word? did you figure out what they are for? as far as i know only monte carlo and convertible chevelles have the firewall towers that used 2 bushings on each side. i have looked and big block cars and wagons but did not see it. i even have a 70 cutlass convertible and it does not have it. but my 71 chevelle does? i'm very confused. and what are the suplements for? where did you get them?

I purchased the supplements from opg and i really haven't figured out what they do. I see where they go but don't see anything for them to support. Just open space! I'm going to put them in and maybe later something will rest on them.

if you dont have a pic, can you tell me where it mounts? look at this pic, http://members.aol.com/smartasreality/images/frame-02-25-02o.jpg does it go in the upper right hole? if so look at your towers on the fire wall. if its not a convertible it will not rest on them. either will anything else. what are they, are they like a body mount?

ok, i looked at them in the catalog. you do not need these if your fire wall towers do not have the mount for them. it is a much wider tower. ans as i have stated i have only seen this on one car. my 71 convertible still with the factory 350. i have a big block 1970 ss and elcamino that dont even have this option. i would like to find out when this was done.
