I know I paid to much to have it rebuilt, but I,m still learning the hard way,
I Had a Car dealer ship rebuild my TH400 to New, Shift Kit to High horsepower, Cost over $1,000++,.
Been in my 67 SS for 6 months getting restored, since it was put in the people that are doing the restoration and Machanicial works, been having trouble with it shifting right from 1st to 2nd gear. The People from the dealership that built it also been up to date with the problems.
Well Last week they had it for 4 days and finally fixed it. Sayng a Valve was stuck and needed other adjustments.
Fine!! But why did I get a $400 + Bill??
Boy, does that take the cake, I took it to the people that been invovled in restoring it for the last two years and told them to take the bill back and take care of it.
I haven,t even gotten to drive or sit in it yet, The heck, will I pay for dealership that rebuilt the trani,s doings.. I should have some kind of warrenty!!! It has only been driven around the block a few times.
Will keep you updated on how this comes out.. Hope I don,t need Legal advise later.....

Sure would like to drive my car this summer...:)

Do you know that many Dealers send there tranny work out side. They collect the exta cash after paying off the tranny shop. Also in your case like many other guys restoring or fixing up there Ride find out many months if not years down the line that there are drive train problems first time on the road and some of these shops that did the work on that particular item won't warranty it because of too many months past. Could be a real bit---
