Has anyone installed an aftermarket Dash Bezel for their 64-65.
I bought one for my 64 and it doesn't fit.
It appears to be about 1/4 of an inch to long and to wide.
I tried to paint my old one but doesn't look all that good after painting the dash.

I've done both. Put an after market on my 65 ragtop and refinished the one on my 65 SS. Believe it or not, but the best local paint I found for refinishing the bezel is Krylon Original Chrome, #1010. I bought it at Wally World. You need to let it dry a day( even though it says fast drying), then spray 2 coats of clear on it. If you don't use the clear the Original Chrome will slowly rub off on your hands. Good luck.:)

I bought a dash bezel from True-Connections that the owner said would fit but the one I got, noway shape of form will fit.
I will try to paint my old one as it fits just fine with the type of paint you used and the clear coat.

What type of clear did you use gloss or semi gloss?
