Does anyone know the length & width of a 1970 chevelle hood?
I need to pick one up this weekend, but need to know if it will fit in the back of my SUV.

They measure about 56-1/2 x 66-1/2. It might be a pretty tight squeeze in an SUV.

If I were you, I would go by the nearest upholstery shop in town. One that does couches, not auto interior. Ask if they have any seat cushion foam that they would sell you, or scraps. It's about 5-7 inches thick. Put a big piece underneath the hood and strap that booger to the roof. It's not going anywhere. Put some foam ontop too. So you don't warp it or dent it with the straps.
