Just put on a new hood/cowl seal. No problem putting on...but when I closed the hood it causes the corner of the hood to raise up about 1/4" or more above the fender level on the passenger side. Like not enough room for the seal.. or the hood doesn't compress enough from the hood pressure on it so it pushes the hood up.

Anybody else had this problem or any ideas how to solve. Or is it just me? Bought seal at NPD. Posted this in Restoration corner, but thought this is more appropriate site. Apologies for the double post.

Is this seal the same thickness all the way across?

I'd check that first, assuming the hood closed properly before the seal was put on.

If it is the same, check to make sure it's seated all the way and not hitting anything unusual (I know you've probably already done that).
