Any tips on replacing all the body bushings on a '70 Chevelle? Looks like a job that has "unseen" snags!
specifically:
-are the nuts captured in the body, and only the bolts need be removed? Doesn't seem like there's a way to get to them.
-unbolt one side and lift the body a couple inches looks like the trick...seem about right?
Any other things Im missing, please feel free to share!
Thanks!

Bob,
The nuts are captured in the body. The possible snag here is if one of the captured bolts decides to start spinning. This means having to cut a hole in the floor above the nut.
Lifting one side and then the other is a good idea. Watch for fuel lines near the gas tank, brake lines near the master cylinder and trans lines near the radiator. Also watch for shifter and clutch linkage. Only lift enough to get the bushing out and the new one back in.
Also note there are 2 bushings that hold the core support (radiator support) to the front of the frame. Sometimes these 2 bushings are not included with the body bushings. And these will have to be loosened as well.
